Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sergey Kolesnikov ("I", "me", "my", or "Palabrium") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Palabrium mobile application and website.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: You can use Palabrium anonymously. If you choose to create an account to sync data or access additional features, we collect your authentication details via Apple, Google, or Email.
- User-Generated Content: We collect the vocabulary words, phrases, and edits you save to your personal library.
- Usage and Device Data: We automatically collect information about your device and how you interact with the app. This includes your device model, OS version, app version, platform, timezone, push notification tokens, and behavioral events (e.g., streaks, daily review progress, capture frequency, and the specific terms you capture).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the core Palabrium experience.
- Generate AI-assisted study cards, translations, and audio pronunciations.
- Send transactional emails and push notifications (like streak reminders).
- Analyze usage trends and track feature engagement.
- Detect, investigate, and fix crashes and technical bugs.
3. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
Palabrium relies on trusted third-party services to function. We do not sell your personal data.
-
AI Processors: When you capture a new word or phrase, the exact
text you enter is sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) to generate
translations, definitions, and context.
Please do not enter sensitive personal information, passwords, or private messages into the capture field.
- Data Storage: Your account data and vocabulary library are securely stored using Supabase, hosted on servers located in the United States.
- Analytics and Crash Reporting: We use Amplitude to understand user behavior and Sentry to monitor crashes. These services collect usage data, which may be associated with your unique User ID and the specific vocabulary terms you interact with.
- Notifications and Communications: We use Expo to deliver push notifications and SendGrid to deliver transactional emails.
- Payments: Subscription purchases are processed securely by Apple and Google. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription statuses. Palabrium does not directly process or store your payment information.
4. Website Waitlist
If you submit your email in the early access modal on palabrium.ai, we collect that email address to notify you about product launch and early access updates.
- Collection: Email address submitted through the website waitlist form.
- Provider: Waitlist submissions are processed on Cloudflare Pages Functions and stored in a Cloudflare D1 database.
- Retention: We retain waitlist email data until it is no longer needed for launch and early access communications, or until you request removal.
- Unsubscribe / Removal: You can request removal from the waitlist at any time by emailing contact@palabrium.ai from the subscribed address.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your account at any time directly within the app's profile settings.
When you delete your account, your personal profile, authentication details, and the link between you and your personal vocabulary library are permanently deleted. However, because Palabrium uses a shared global dictionary cache to improve performance for all users, captured term text and related AI-generated dictionary content (such as translations, definitions, context sentences, and audio files) may be retained in that shared database. This shared cache is stored without your account identifiers and is no longer linked to your profile.
6. Children's Privacy
Palabrium is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
